Another beautiful day for a kayak trip.\u00a0 The water temperature was 56 degrees and the river stage was 7.8 feet with the flow\u00a0at approximately 6000 cfm, which allowed us to cruise at 3.7 mph even without paddling.\u00a0 The trip length is 13 miles.\u00a0 We paddled down the Black River in 65 degree sunny weather, with a some wind at times.\u00a0 A few times the wind was very strong, almost pushing us backwards, but being the strong paddlers that we are we did endure.\u00a0 We had a small crew this weekend, only Bill, Teresa, and myself.\u00a0 All of our friends were busy out of town, or otherwise occupied.\u00a0 We had fun in spite of the size.<\/p>\n
