A little cloudy today with a few drops of rain early but not lasting.\u00a0\u00a0Temperatures were in only the mid-eighties\u00a0 instead of the forecast for the day of 94\u00b0.\u00a0 Water temperature was a comfortable but brisk 69\u00b0, and nice for September.\u00a0 Water stage was 3.5 feet–marginal, but adequate for our 12.7 mile trip.\u00a0 As you can see there was no current so we had to “work” our way down the river.\u00a0 Our total time was 5 hours, including stops, but we did average 3.6 miles per hour when we were moving.\u00a0 Bottom line–it was a perfect fall day, for Steve, Bill, Teresa, and myself.<\/p>\n

There is some fall color starting to show in the river bed, as always earlier than the rest of the area; \u00a0pretty colors, but a reminder that fall is just around the corner.\u00a0 Other than fall color, we saw a few Eagles, a Blue Heron, and other miscellaneous nature.<\/p>\n

We have pictures from a couple of cameras, so the sequence may be off in a couple of spots, but we did capture the trip for\u00a0your enjoyment.<\/p>\n

The following pictures\u00a0 show one of the water falls just off the River.\u00a0 Steve ventured back in the falls area to take these pictures.\u00a0 This water is COLD!\u00a0 But it is nature at its best.<\/strong><\/p>\n
