A bit of a cloudy day, but it is better this way due to the heat we have been having.\u00a0 Our day today reached 89\u00b0, was supposed to be hotter.\u00a0 We had the pleasure of entertaining 4 First Mates today–Joyce, Jill, Shelley, and Andrea.\u00a0 Steve Dunn, Tom Hundt, and I tried to entertain and help these ladies down the river–a river that was very low, being only 3.3 feet, with a very low current flow.\u00a0 The water was so low that we did have to walk a few times, because there just was not enough water.\u00a0 Unfortunately for the ladies, it may have been more work than they had bargained, but we still trudged on for 11.0 miles, and in the end I think we all enjoyed it, maybe the feeling of a “good” shoulder pain that made you feel like you had accomplished something this day.\u00a0 The water temperature was a cool 68\u00b0, so we could get refreshed at anytime.<\/p>\n
We did not see much in the line of wildlife, and it did sprinkle for a short time, but we enjoyed some great camaraderie and finished the day with a smile.\u00a0 We enjoyed having you share in a little bit of our heaven\u00a0and look forward to the next time–but with more water in the river bed.<\/p>\n
