We are on a roll now, 2 weeks in a row. The weather is still not as good as it could be, but, we ( Ben, Steve, Bill, Teresa, and myself) need to catch up on our trip quota for the year. We started our 10.5 mile trip with temps today reaching 54° under sunny skies, a marked improvement from last week. The water temperature did also increase, all the way to 50°. The water stage did also increase–to 10.1 feet. Flood stage is 12 ft., but it is still a bank full with no sandbars for stopping. The trip was speedy with the current running at 9000 cfs, (normal is around 2500 cfs) we completed the 10.5 miles in 2 hours and 10 minutes., an average of 4.5 miles per hour. As always, any kayak trip is a good trip.

The Beginning of a Great Day
