6/29/2018 Delta Dental Trip

Well today I had a new group of friends join me for a kayak trip.  The Delta Dental Sales team, Steve LeRoy and Joan Berlin, as well as my ABRC Associate Suzie Kaiser.  We toured the river from Hunter’s Bridge to Lytle Bay, approximately 12 miles.  We had favorable conditions with water temperatures ranging from 76° up to 80° in the shallow bays.  The winds were light at 10 -15 mph, but the air temperature was a sizzling 98°, thankfully we had the breeze, which did actually make it a very tolerable temperature.  The river stage was running at 4.4 feet , so another good day with plenty of social sandbars for us to swap lies and remember the “good old days” of our careers.  We finished the trip with a respectable 3.1 mph average in 3 hours and 50 minutes.  Our animal sightings for the day were 1 nice Eagle and a Kildeer.  I was told by all, they really enjoyed the day filled with peace and serenity that was not the office, a very nice break.
