8/24/2019 Fundraiser Tour (Hunter’s Bridge to Lytle)

We had a great opportunity today to give a guided tour to a wonderful group of people.  These folks purchased our tour to support the “Community Center Fundraiser”.  The family of Kathy Dummer–Amy and Friend Dave, Tracy, and Kathy along with Tom Hundt, Steve Dunn, and me started out on a day long trip from Hunter’s Bridge to Lytle Bay.  The weather could not have been any better (78°), sunny with very calm waters.  The water depth was 4.8 ft. so it made for an easy trip with some sandbars, and not too many worries about running a ground.  Tracy did, however, manage to find a couple of shallow spots.  The water temperature was a comfortable, although slightly cooler at 66° then we have experienced in a few weeks.  Unfortunately the signs of the upcoming winter are starting to show.

We did complete the 12 mile trip, after Kathy decided which direction she wanted to go, in just over 3.5 hours of paddling time–a nice pace of 3.5 mph.  We saw 3 Eagles on our trip, but little else in the form of wildlife.

The people were a lot of fun and we all had a great time on our trip.  Thanks for purchasing our fund raiser contribution.
