It is Thursday, what else is there to do but go Kayaking with some good friends and long time business relationships. Today the Delta Dental crew went with me–Steve LeRoy, Tom Williams, and then Suzie from ABRC, went with me down the Black River. We cruised the 12 mile tour from Hunter’s Bridge to Lytle Bay at a whopping 3.2 miles per hour–when we could paddle. We spent more time walking when we got to the lower part of the River (below Tank Creek) then I ever did in my life, it was all sand with VERY limited channels to paddle. The river stage was 4.1, which should have been ample, but was not. The water temperature was 66° and the air was 72°, so a pleasant day, once the threatening clouds went away.
We had a great trip with lots of fun, 12 Eagle sightings but only a couple of pictures of them, and many good stories and jokes about the “Good Ole Days”. A great trip with great people, even Tom said he would go again in the future.
